Having hard time downloading big file from icloud

Ok, if I hold option down and go to the Go menu, it shows library. And if I go to "show view options", I can check library and now it shows up. In Mobile documents, however, none of the files I'm looking for show up. If I go to icloud. May 28, AM. I have no documents in my icloud in finder. I removed them to free up space. They're all on icloud. I wanted to download a couple of folders to an external drive, but it will only let me download one file at a time. I was hoping there was some way to move entire folders so I don't have to reconstruct them on the external drive. And when downloading from iCloud the nested folder structure should be preserved. I can select all documents at once inside a folder but not the subfolders.
