With Sakura Spirit, it feels like the whole game beats lazy text over turbulent visuals the way it looks. The under-character crew fights for the spotlight, printing glossy event graphics where needed, while the more text-heavy parts of the game feel static and scatter little attention in movement or range. But where Sakura Spirit fails, Sakura Angels mostly improve.

The focus is tighter, the sexy moments a little more on point and the direction gives a little more character. Sprites are given two positions that are Sakura Spirit for windows frequently used, and small animations in the background add a fun touch to everything. The writing also goes up a lot with a little more punch for the main character, although it still relies on plot facilities and worn-out personality types. While Sakura Spirit feels like a lazy attempt at anything but a breasted slideshow, Sakura Angels have more energy and attention to art. This is a very passive visual novel game. Sakura Spirit is not the kind of game that you want to play if you are looking for a narrative that you can change. The game does give you a choice right at the end, but in all honesty, I have to say that I am not percent certain that many people will stick it all out until the end to make it. The game is full of spelling and punctuation errors too which can take you out of it.

Especially as most of these tend to happen at the start of the game.
